Bonjur Chris!
I have two pictures of him, one as a Obl. and one as a Hptm. in some ADLER magazines from 1942. If you give me your PM I can scan them for you.
Greetings from Denmark

Hello,
Could someone inform me the cause of Schweickhardt loss? (Flak? Fighter? Mechanical problem and ditching?) and his aircraft codes and werknummer?
Who was flying with him on his last mission?
Many thanks
Adriano B.

Hptm. Heinrich Schweickhardt and his crew went missing during a flight from Catania to Athen-Tatoi on 9-Jan-43 after a radio message from about noon saying he was having engine trouble. This was after combat about 100km west of Zakynthos. The aircraft was a Ju 88A-4 WNr. 142338 coded 'F1+GS'.

Re: Heinrich Schweickhardt

Dear JIM and Richey,

I do thank you for the information I was looking for. I acquired a Picture (copy) of Hptm. Heinrich Schweickhardt and his crew in front of one Ju 88 A-4 and wanted to know more about this crew.

I have checked the USAAF claims in MTO and there is NO claim on the 09 January 1943, so I assume his Ju 88 A-4 was probably damaged by a RAF aircraft.

Does someone do have more details abou the RAF claims (probable or damaged included), on that particular day?

Thank you again for all the most valuable information you added

Adriano B.
