Berlin Johannisthal airfield

I am trying to find out any information on the airfield at Berlin Johannisthal. I know that Henschel had a factory there, but that is all and there is very little info on the net.
So if anyone can help, I would be grateful.

Thank you :)

Also the Buecker Werke was situated there from october 1933 until they moved to Rangsdorf south of Berlin, in the autumn of 1935.reg.

Hi, Matzos,

SCHMITT, G. (1995): Als die Oldtimer flogen. Die Geschichte des Flugplatzes Johannisthal. Aviatic Verlag. Oberhaching

might be the source you want. It's mainly about the history pre WW I though. Don't know if the book is still available.

Thanks for the information. I have some WW2 imagery of the airfield on which you can see aircraft on the field.

I was trying to find out what the base was used for.
