2 Attachment(s)
Hi All,

here are photos of a unknown wheel.
Is it a tail wheel from a RAF plane or maybe a from a Bomb trolly?
It was made by Dunlop, Made in Great Britain.
Diamention: 12 1/2 x 4 1/2 Type VII. Nylon 27A

Best wishes
Rüdiger

Hi
Try a Google Images search under Bomb Trolley where there are many varied images of such equipment. The impression is that bomb trolleys were fitted with fairly normal road wheels with treads and probably larger than your picture. Some of the sites are for Model suppliers and if you can contact them they may be able to help.
A similar Images search under Aircraft Tailwheel will also produce many pictures
Regards
Dick

It does look like a tail wheel...from a P-47?

Whoops...maybe it's from a North American product like a P-51?
