Enblem of Wekusta 2

To complete the research we would like to know if anybody has a drawing/sketch or foto of the insignia/emblem of the Wekusta 2 stationed in Nantes/France.

According some sources it could be a weathercock on top of a globe.

Any help appreciated.

There is a color illustration of this emblem on page 61 of Luftwaffe Emblems 1939-1945 by Barry Ketley & Mark Rolfe. It is a weathercock on top of a globe.

Yes, that is indeed the insignia of Wekusta 2. Ob.d.L. The excellent book "Wekusta - Luftwaffe Meteorological Reconnaissance Units and Operations 1938 - 1945" by John A. Kington and Franz Selinger shows this insignia in colour on page 56 in the section which is a mini-history of this unit. The vane is in yellow while the globe is blue with black continents.
