W.Nr. 150992: Bf 109 G-10 or Ju 188 D-2?

Hello,

Please excuse me that I am asking again about the history of a particular W.Nr. The reason why I am asking is that a part of that plane survived until today and was taken as a souvenir back in May 1945 at Linz Hoersching.

The W.Nr. was 150992 and it was a Bf 109 (G-10 I would say). However, one source (stammkennzeichen.de) gives this as a Ju 188 D-2 CW+FN which it clearly was not.

Was this W.Nr. allocated to two different airplanes?

Regards
Roger

Yes, that WNr. could have belonged to either type of machine as both had WNr. blocks within that range.

Hello Jim,

Thanks for the info. Interesting. Is anything known about this particular G-10 by any chance?

Thanks!

Roger
