US involved units ? results ? strafed areas ?

May 21 - Field Order 345- was first Chattanooga mission with intent to attack rail targets - for 8th BC it was attacking NoBall targets and most of 8th FC strafed rail targets.

The 55th claimed 22 locomotives destroyed and the 361st claimed 21. One P-47 Group flew escort (56) The rest of the P-47 groups (78,353 and 356) were strafing and dive bombing bridges in France and Western Germany but the longer ranging P-38s and P-51s were strafing everywhere. 221 locos were attacked, 91 claimed destroyed.
