On 17.june 1942 II.KG100 , relayed all the day long to watch at a crew , whose plane crashed on 16.june, crew was saved, but which crew is it
the one of I.KG54 ,,??? The place given as 60 km Südl. of the Gavdos island

Hi Remi,

can`t find any loss near Crete of II./KG 100 or I./KG 54 on that date (16.06.42), where is your info coming from?

I.KG54 lost a plane that day, in action around Alexandria, but not due to ennemy so presum. in return path , return path norm would hv to go thru Kreta..
