Re: Landing in Algeria
Sorry Remi
No answer to your question, but I was interested in another intricacy of the German language and my own inability to fully comprehend what it means. Glattlandung! Since Glatt means both slippery and smooth and landung is pretty self evident, does this reflect on a somewhat bad landing where the aeroplane slided off a given airstrip? Could the runway have been possibly full of water ( I know it is in Algeria, but on occasion I believe it could rain in the coastal areas)? Cheers Stig |
Re: Landing in Algeria
Glattlandung is normal landing without accident, in this case the interest is to know the reaction of the Legal-french authorities, did they refuelled the planes ???
Algeria could hv very unpleasant weather too, I mean except to be extreml. hot Remi |
Re: Landing in Algeria

So it is the meaning smooth then which is the important word here. Thanks Remi:) Cheers Stig |
