Probably Hudson loss on 24.02.40

Hi everyone,

did Costal Command lost a Hudson on 24.02.40? Germans claimed on this day one Hudson at 09.11 north of Ameland.
Anybody knows the details?
TIA

Regards

Robert

Are you sure about the date? 24 February 1940? The war had not started then in Western Europe.

Hi;
Went through both Hendries' "Lockheed Hudson in WWII" and Marson's "The Lockheed Twins" which have lists of aircraft by airframe or serial number, neither shows any losses to enemy action in February 1940. Perhaps it was an example of poor aircraft recognition skills; might have been another type....
