Adolf Dickfeld - Ditching BoB

I have been reading Footsteps of the Hunter when I saw the news Dickfeld had died.
Are any details of his ditching in the BoB as related in his book known, he states Ltn Weller was lost on the same mission. All I could find was a Ltn Christoph Geller lost on 30th. Aug. 1940 but no loss for another JG52 Bf109 that day.

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for the info. I checked on QM's list and the report of 8th Sept. has Oblt. Waller missing in 1138 on 6-9-40 but this has a line through it. The report dated 9th Sept then has Ltn Waller missing in 1138 on the 7th Sept. Ulrich Steinhilpers book has a mention of Wallers and his promotion to Oblt. at this time and has Albert-Hinrich Waller later serving in the Bundes Luftwaffe. The book has no mention of Dickfeld as far as I could see, and the QMs list did not indicate a ditched 109 on either date.
There was a pilot of 6/JG52 picked up by Seenotdienst on both the 27th Sept and 29th. Oct. but no names shown,

Regards
