Re: Photos 6-7 - 3 Zg 26 photo album.
Helo all,
The photo album at http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=120430552310 has a photo of the 3 ZG 26 victory board, listing missions flown by each pilot and bordfunker and abschuss up to the end of 1940. Unfortunately I cant read it from the scan. The info may weell be useful to the Zerstorer researchers. I for one would love to be able to read it. Regards Russell |
Re: Photos 6-7 - 3 Zg 26 photo album.
Hi all,
Am I the only one, or do these two albums look strange? To me they look more like put together albums than original albums. I'm missing the connections between the different picture. And why would a member of "Horst Wessel " put his pictures in a photo album with on the cover "Panzerschiff, Admiral Graf Spee"??? If it is indeed a put together album, I wonder if all picture are original or, originals mixed with copies. Best regards, Thomas ps. Thanks Ed for the list! |
Re: Photos 6-7
You're welcome, Thomas.
One always has to be careful. There are some albums that mix what appear to be authentic and original photos with collector photos and postcards. However, I have seen a few examples of albums where it appears multiple copies of a few pictures were made at the time to be given to other members of a particular flying unit or even comrades in other units, or family members. Some photos of aces were widely distributed since these men were widely admired. Ed |
