question about photos on KG 54 - LuftwaffeDataWiki

I have a question about two photos of wrecked He111's on KG 54 - LuftwaffeDataWiki

On the small image you see a plane that is B3+KK (based on the white axe after the 4th digit (seen other pictures of this aircraft, also on this forum)

The other plane could be B3+KS, if you look at the visible part of the 4th digit. The fuselageband could be white or yellow. The forth digit is certainly not a H, K or L, leaving the R and S of III Gruppe open.

Any known crashdate/crewdata available?

For the B3+KK : see this thread here http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showthread.php?p=80432
No info on the crew I'm afraid.

As for the B3+KS : I have no idea.

Kind regards,
Rudi.

Hi...

For what it's worth, I think A) the fuselage codes are slightly larger than 'standard' on B3+K 'S', and B) the last letter is an 'S', but being larger than usual, the lower right curve of the 'S' was perhaps painted over the rear edge of the wing root fairing, which seems to be missing from this plane, given the slightly lighter shade of paint where the fairing would've been... just a thought... :).

Regards...
Paul

The B3+KS looks like parked on the edges of an airfield,

Thanks all for your input :)
