83 squadron ORB
 

Hello, does anyone know where I can get the ORB for 83 squadron from 1940 to April 42. I am a) trying to find out if Flight Engineer Johnnie Pulford flew in this Squadron and b) if he flew with Gibson on the Tirpitz before 617

Hello Adam, you are in luck. The ORB for 83 Squadron is held at The National Archives, Kew, outside London. It covers the period you are interested in plus there are appendices and combat reports in separate files. Contact me by PM if you are not able to visit Kew in person.

Thank you very much Bruce, it's good to know they are there, though i am not sure I will be able to make it in time. Of you do happen to know if Pulford was in 83 that would be a real help
