B-24 Lost 20 July 1944

I was reading a pilots diary and he mentions seeing a B-24s engine explode which cuts off the tail section and the plane falls below the clouds. This happened near Antwerp on the date mentioned. Does anyone have any information on this event?

Only B-24 loss over Belgium on 20 July 1944 that I could find so far is 42-95117 of 458th BG.
The a/c came down at Koersel (Heusden), roughly between Maastricht and Antwerpen.

Pilot: Lt James Monahan. Fate: 1 KIA, 3 POW, 5 EVD.
