14th FG, 27 May 1944
 

Does anyone have the details of a claim by 14th FG of a Bf 109 (or maybe Fw 190) during a raid on Nimes, Southern France on 27 May 1944?

Also a claim of one Bf 109 damaged by 31st FG on the same day (raid on Montpellier).

Frank Olynyk has the following in his lists for that date:

0945-115 Fw 190 claimed by Col. Oliver Burtis Taylor in the Rimen area, 14th FG

1020-1045 1st Lt John A. Frazier, NE 109 damaged, Montpellier area, 307th FS

Hi,
His victim was probably Uffz Fritz Nötzold beloging to 1./Jgr Süd His Bf 109 G5 hit the gound in Arles's area.

Hi john,
My source is Marc Nellias who created years ago an accurate list of JGr Süd 's pilots (trainees and instructors). He investigated on several crash sites in southern France. In my knowledge he used to work :
