1. Dornier 17Z U5+K Werk Nr.1223
2. Dornier 217 U5+TK Werk Nr.4242

Do217E-4 U5+TK of 2/KG2 shot down during raid on Birmingham on 9/10-8-1942 Ff Fw Georg Zaglmeier, B Uffz Johannes Perne, Bf Uffz Gunther(umlaut over u)Schroter (umlaut over o) all missing Bs Uffz Ulrich Lossack body found off Danish coast on 10-10-42. Belived fell to a Beaufighter of 29 Sqd. off the Happisburgh Light (east coast of England),

From the KG2 history vol 1. by Ulf Balke w.n 1223 was damaged (lightly) in a fighter attack over Starja Russa on 22-8-1941 with B Uffz Johannes Perne wounded. On the 31-8-41 it is shown as U5+EK destroyed to unknown cause Ff Fw Siegfried Genswich , Bf Fw Alfred Zimmermann and Bm Uffz Willi Stern all wounded returned, the B Hpt. Hans Henn St.Kap killed.

Frank, was Uffz Johannes Perne a relation?
I guess looking at your username he maybe.
Do you know more about Johannes career with KG2.

Uffz Johannes Perne was my great uncle.I try to find out what happened to him.I try to find as much information as possible.(biography,career,photos,....)
