Ju88C ??+OW at Hofoldinger Forst - Unit code?
 

Gentlemen,

I am trying to decypher the unit code of Ju88C ??+OW in the center of this photograph. I have seen some images of this aircraft yet, but had no luck reading the code. Any idea?

4D+OW ( 4D in small letters ) but it could also be B4+OW..allthough those ( B4 ) were stationed in Norway and just a few went back to germany in 1945..
but i might be wrong..just my thoughts on it..

Hmmm, for me it looks more like a code beginning with "F"...It could be "F8" (Kampfgeschwader 40), but only the V. Gruppe of this Geschwader was equipped with Ju88C. Unfortunately the last code letter "W" marks an aircraft from a 12. Staffel, which would have belonged to IV./KG40. So this possibility can be ruled out. Any more ideas?

i tried to play a little with the picture in photoshop and it could look like it starts with a S.. or F ..or B.. but really not sure..though one..
