FW 190A Kommodore..unkown pilot?

Hello Milan

Fw 190 A-5 "Black <<" (W.Nr. 0152 600) was the aircraft in which Major Hubertus von Bonin (77 victories, RK), Geschwaderkommodore of JG 54, was killed in aerial combat with Yak-9 fighters on 15 December 1943 east of Gorodok. If the given werknummer is incorrect, then it is most likely to be a fighter flown by him or Oberstleutnant Anton Mader (86 victories, RK), who succeeded him as Geschwaderkommodore of JG 54.

Horrido!

Re: FW 190A Kommodore..unkown pilot?

Hello Milan, hello Leo,
I don't think it is a Geschwaderkommodore aircraft. JG 54 (and JG 51 as well) had for some period of time (1943-44) the complete Stabstaffel and all aircraft from this Staffel had allmost the same Staff markings. The only difference were the very small digits over the rear white horizontal bar. In your photo you can see this small digit - probably 5 or 3 as I see. For this reason is very difficult to say who was the pilot.

Regards,
Gregor
