Oberleutnant Eberhard Charisius

What unit did this man belong to? He was a big shot in the "Frei Deutschland" Anti Fascist movement.

According to some information I found on the Web, he crash landed on June 22,1941 due to motor trouble.

Thanks to all

Re: Oberleutnant Eberhard Charisius

Only one individual by that name in our data base. They might have been brothers, father/son or what have you. It might be that he was a Leutnant at the time he went missing so we would not have him.

CHARISIUS, Aurel. (i.G.). 01.09.39 Oblt., in Flak-Abt. 37. 01.04.42 promo to Hptm. 25.05.43 in 14. Lw.-Felddivision, trf to Luftflotte 4 for further assignment. 03.44 Hptm., in Stab/1.Flakdiv. 03.45 Hptm., (appt?) Ib/5. Fsch.Jg.Div.

Re: Oberleutnant Eberhard Charisius

Thanks Larry,

I think I found what I was looking for on a listing by Jim P.

"He111P-4
, 2814, Charisius, Oblt. Eberhard, , Stab II., KG 55, , G1+DC, , , 22-Jun-41, MIA with crew, cause unknown., , Ostfront, Gen.Qu.6.Abt. (mfm #3)-Vol.5, , (Kamionka), 100%, F, , "

He was obviously taken prisoner.
