Ju88 Wk nbr 3084

Hi everybody,
Sorry if my english is not very good! I'll try to do my best.
I am looking for all information- code, unit, etc- about Ju88A? Wk nbr 3084.
What I now is very little:
- It crashlanded near Salers (french department Cantal) between may and november 1943, early in the morning, on a mountain. Breakdowon or shotdown? Idon't know, and no body in the cockpit.
- In view of his pattern, it was probably a torpedo-bomber.
In advance, great thanks
Jean-Paul

Thanks Khorat,
Then, it would be more right to write:"3084xx" or "xxx3084" if it is really 84. JP

for 1943 find some out of the 43084X block but all in the mediterrainian area,

in 1944 find some out of the 33084X block in the Falaise area.

ah just see the pic- -think its maybe a plane of KG 77 (?) then 1944 will maybe the year of the crash - and there had a lot of missing planes in my database.

As certain details are not visible on the photo, I can not say for shure if it is the A-1 / A-5 / A-7 0883084. I think it might be A-4 / D-1 / S-3 version:

How about:

300497 Ju 88 A-4 III/KG 76 (Luftflotte 3)
Non-OPS (H) engine failure and force landed (35%) near Pouilly 26.10.1943

I joint 2 other pictures, all via Jean-Baptiste LEDYS journalist at "LA MONTAGNE" our regional newspaper.

I mind it will be hard to identifie this aeroplane without more references.
Goodnight and thanks to you. Jean-Paul

Re: Ju88 Wk nbr 3084

Camouflage pattern is typical KG 76 (Bombers) in 1943 ...

Third picture shows armour plate from (side window?) rear upper canopy (8/88.140/2201), middle row is serial number of plate, third row (1943) is likely year the plate was built in.

Then ´A-7 3084´ is likely not an contender anymore.

State of wreck (picture one and two) likely shows it was possibly blown up on site, so forced landing and crew walking away might have happened. Is Pouilly anyplace near the area given in post no one? I know nothing about this area.

Re: Ju88 Wk nbr 3084

Hi edNorth and Khorat,
Yesterday I have visited the crashplace: just some poor motor relics and the propeller hubs, reference: 2 1024 A3 (or delta3).
Nearest Pouilly is at the less, 150km ago. There is a lot of Pouilly in France.
Hopeless! Jean-Paul

Re: Ju88 Wk nbr 3084

Photo of prop hub might show if A-1 or A-4 !
(Wood blades = A-4. Aluminium = A-1 )
Nothing is hopeless.
