The fate of Helmut Holtz, IV/JG51...

Hi all,

Could somebody prompt to the official German version of Helmut Holtz's disappearance with wingman during the combat sortie? Some trace of both those pilots from IV/JG51 could be found in Soviet records. Are they listed in German records as losses due to Soviet fighters or FLAK?

"official" German records state the MIA cause is unknown.

Thanks John! Did Holtz or his wingman manage to return back to Germany after the war end or they both disappeared in Soviet captivity? According to Soviet records they both were imprisoned...
