New book about Gladiator and Spitfire pilot

Hello gents,

First post. I can usually be found at other forums under nickname "DCK".

Just informing you people about my new book, "Gladiator", about fighter pilot Finn Thorsager from Norway.

Unfortenately for people outside Scandinavia, the book is in Norwegian language. Nonetheless, anyone can order a copy :)

The book is based on Finn's own memoars. I have filled in "the gaps" so to speak with my own dramatization of the events that occured. For example, he attacked German airplanes in a Gloster Gladiator on the 9th of April 1940 and had especially one very close shave with a lone Focke Wulf 190 in 1943, flying as squadron leader of 332 squadron.

More info at www.finnthorsager.com

The book can also be ordered from there.

Tor Idar Larsen has written a biography over Finn Thorsager (http://surfcity.kund.dalnet.se/norway_thorsagen.htm ). The book is on 209 pages and covers Thorsager's career from his youth via the Norwegian Air Force and the RAF to the end of his career in the SAS. It's a very nice book and includes some unique images. Books about the Scandinavian pilots in the RAF are very rare and this book covers this period very well. Unfortunately, the book is written in Norwegian and thus will only be accessible to a Scandinavian market. In addition, it lacks an index, which makes it difficult to use as reference in the future (many other Norwegian pilots features in the book). However, these are only minor issues and if you're a Scandinavian with interest in this period this is highly recommended book!

Best wishes/Håkan

It's not doing bad at all! This guy posted a review and was absolutely thrilled. He stayed up half the night reading. And that was great to hear!

Here's this review:

Fantastisk!

For Norwegians;

This webstore has a good collection of hard to find WW2 books. I ordered a few and they were quick in shipping out!
