Honoring a friend with a TV show?

Hi everyone. I need somebody's help to promote a project of mine. Somebody to tell me what US or UK network might be interested in making a QUALITY show out of two wonderful pilot's stories, one of which deals with a Spitfire pilot friend.
I met him in person when he was reunited with his Spit decades after the war (in 2005) and received a hero's welcome by a whole town.
I was delighted to see what kind of man he was. He did not talk much of the war except for a few thrilling anecdotes, including the tale of his adventurous bailout from his Flak-crippled aircraft. And although he did not tell his gratitude for tracking him down after so many years, I could see it in his eyes. He died in 2007 and I want to remember him in a special way.
I have a lot of footage (approx. 2 hours) and I think that adding some CGI would only make it look even better. My first option was History Channel, but unfortunately they do not accept unsolicited material. So I will have to contact someone else. But WHO?
