Re: Wellington Crash Photo - Info?
The exact crash location is farmland named "De Finantien" at Loon op Zand, a small town near Tilburg.
The German night fighter was Schnaufer. I wonder if Hamilton was wounded, as only Sanders Valensky was taken to a hospital as he was freed from under the a/c. pp |
Re: Wellington Crash Photo - Info?
Thank you Mark and Paul! This leaves no question left.
BTW: Please note that the lost bombers web site has the wrong aircraft letter for DV439. From the photo it becomes clear that it was "PP*D", not "PP*H" Cheers, Christian |
