Hi,

it was from 8./KG2, three KIA, one POW but both planes collided in the air.

Hello

Impossible to have a faster answer! Any idea about the identity of the crew?

Sincerly

Hello,

Our holdings in the EOE Luftwaffe loss DB for this one are similar to John's:

"May 19, 1940: 8./KG2 Dornier Do17Z. Collided with S/Lt Ruby of GC I/8 in head-on attack near Creil, crashed and burned out at Borest, south-east of Senlis, 5.45 a.m. BM Uffz Reinhold Tiedemann, FF Uffz Heinrich Seifart, and BF Gefr Willi Eckert all killed, BO Gefr Hans Behnke baled out and captured unhurt – later released. Aircraft 100% write-off. Hans Behnke apparently remained at large until his capture at Pont-Ste-Maxence four days later."

If anyone should have any further information on Hans Behnke's evasion story, or any photos of the crash site, I would appreciate knowing about it.

Regards,
