DB 603 A production
I am trying to match up Me410 production, in which Mtt said, in its January 1943 production report, that it couldn't finish assembling its Me410s because of a lack of DB603A engines; with a BAL statement in Mangau/Petrick in which 113 a/c were apparently reconstructed to Me410 standards between Dec42 and April 1943. That would mean an absolute minimum of 226 engines, and probably about 30-50 more for spares, just for the reconstructed a/c. So, does anyone have fairly accurate, monthly construction (out-the-door) figures for the DB 603 for its first year of production? I would really appreciate it.

Re: DB 603 A production
Maybe this will be of some help George.
http://orbat.com/site/sturmvogel/airrep.html#Ch7 Scroll down a bit and you will come to engine production. |
Re: DB 603 A production
Thanks for that, Kutscha. In fact, as I wandered through my collection of reference material last evening I discovered that table. I have been going through my list of Me 410 losses today, and so far it seems that a great majority of them were powered by Pomo, Stettin, manufactured engines.
Thanks again, George |
Re: DB 603 A production
IIRC, there is a month by total for each major engine type in the USSBS Aircraft Industry report (no subtypes or factories) and there was a fair amount of specific correspondence relating to DB 603 productionin the ADI(k) microfilm.
