Cantina at Fliegerhorst Kiel-Holtenau
 

Hi, everyone out there!

I am searching the fate of my great-grandparents. They were operating the cantina/casino of the "Fliegerhorst Kiel-Holtenau" named "Schusterkrug". Both survived the war.

Nevertheless I own some clues, that the building was bomb hit during the night of 15th/16th of April 1941.

Does anyone have any further information?
I especially miss dates concerning the construction and/or first operation of the cantina. Can anyone help?

The author provides a 2 or 3 page history of each airfield, often more for the larger airfields such as Kiel-Holtenau. Base construction and major attacks are usually covered.
