A Ju 188 at Melsbroek airfield 1944

Dear all,

As ususal scanning for new pictures of late-war Luftwaffe machines, I stumbled on those two clear shots showing a Ju 188, ??+HR, surrounded by a Bf 109 G and a Bf 110 G wrecks in the following link:

The pictures were taken in Melsbroek airfield at the end of September 1944. The criss-cross camouflage with RLM 22 undersides is particularly interesting.

Any idea about its former unit?

Cheers
Marc

Peter,

You're smack on the money! Congrats! And Hurricane posted those pics on LEMB on 3 January 2009. It is indeed 3E+HK.

Many thanks
Marc
