Did HJ Marseille wear goggles in flight?

I've never seen any photos of Marseille in the cockpit with goggles on. I was wondering if anyone knew if he wore them in flight. I have however seen many photos of him wearing them while on the ground. I'm assuming this could have been because of blowing sand.
