Z3577 pilot's name?

6 Apr 1942 was a large air battle over the Finnish airport Tiiksjarvi. Formation of the Soviet fighters attacked the Finnish Brewster B.239 of 2/LeLv 24. Finns after the fight reported shot down 12 fighters and 2 bombers, without loss of its own.
The real loss was 6 Russians Hurricane fighters lost from 609 and 769 IAP plus one more 1 SB bomber from 80 BAP. Losses were highest in the Soviet side fighting on Karelian Front. Three airmen were sent into camps, and three next died. By the captured Hurricane II Z3577 had been found an airman (?), that probably had shot himself (?). Maybe someone can identify his name?

Capturee pilots were:
Ivan Vavakin, 609 IAP; Nicholas Beletsky, 609 IAP and Belousov

Died: a squadron commander Cpt. W.P. Gorjun, st Lejt. A.A. Preżeskop, younger Lejt. N.F. Kurkin.

Mirek,

There's something on this Finnish forum that seems to point to Lt. Nikolaj Balistkij, but perhaps a person who understands Finnish can fully help you out.

Re: Z3577 pilot's name?

Hi thanks for the link,

I hvae used Google translator and some text is redable like this:

"Scale model of the newspaper I do not know, but at least the Finnish Aviation Historical Journal has been the story of the shoot-down from the Hurricaneista.Varsinainen thing is 1 / 1994 of numbers and number 4 / 1994 can be found in details.

Wing Armament "White Sudessa" (BM 959) was an Anglo standard military equipment, say, six months to Fri wing.

In the picture, where it has made a suicide pilot is not "White Wolf", but Hurricane serial Z 3577's (not the tactical issues) pilot.

"White Wolf" was the director Nikolaj Belistkij second lieutenant, was taken prisoner 1./609 Lentorykmentti (IAP). Hänet Rukajärven terrain 6/4/1942."

And it is right, that Nikolaj Belistkij was PoW and was flying on the HC called "White Wolf" / BM 959.

He was one of the three guys who were found dead. The list is as above.

Thanks for the tips, :-)
