Hi could anybody kindly provide the first names of the following St.Kap's 1940.

8/KG26 Hptm Stephen,
9/KG26 Hptm Stiller.

Any info regarding subsequent career/ fates most welcome.

After searching our officer personnel database, we find that there is no Stephan associated with KG 26, but we do have:

STEPHANUS, ? . 11.39 Hptm., appt Staka 8./KG 26 (to 20.06.40).


As for Stiller, we have:

STILLER, Otto. 11.39 Hptm., appt Staka 9./KG 26 (to 29.10.41 KIA). 15.08.41 Hptm. in III./KG 26, MIA in Russia. 29.10.41 status changed to KIA.


That’s all we have on these guys. I checked the Kracker Archive and find nothing there.

It was Hptm Josef Stefan-he was still alive in 1945 as an Obstlt. I do have a poor photo of him taken in 1940 and according to a 8 Staffel pilot, he was still St Kap in Aug 40
