A kill on 10 May 1945?

On 10 May 1945 a Bulgarian air force Fi-156 Storch was "shot down by an enemy fighter". The pilot major Rangelov and a passenger were killed. As far as I know, this was somewhere in Hungary. Any claims from the Luftwaffe or the Hungarian air force for that day?

Or maybe there is a mistake in the information, the date is too late for the war in Hungary? I know that in Czechoslovakia for example the war continued even after 6 May, but in Hungary it must have ended in April i think? Maybe it was just a flight accident? Or maybe it was an Allied aircraft, who shot down by mistake the Bulgarian machine? By chance, have you seen any report for kill on 10 May in Hungary, from Allies or from Axis side? Thanks!

No answer Theodor, sorry.

However I wonder which one it was? According to Airpower of the Kingdom of Bulgaria (by Dimitar Nedialkov) Bulgaria aquired THREE Fi 156.

Is the type number known for the 156? Presumably Bulgaria numbered them 1 to 3, but is that correct? In the book quoted a coded white 5 is pictured....
That same photo is depicted in Sojusznicky Luftwaffe Bulgaria together with white 6 an white 7. This book claims 6-8 were delivered. On the back cover a white 4 is drawn as well....

Can you enlighten us more about the Fi 156 in Bulgaria?

Cheers
Stig
