Emil Braun KG 806 / Küstenfliegergruppe 506
 

HI,

I would like to know more information about this person:

Emil Braun. He was a Hauptmann / Oberleutnant in KG 806 /-Küstenfliegergruppe 506.

I only know that he was a pilot of a JU 88 bomber and was shot down on 14th May 1942 and became Prisoner of war.

He got the Honor goblet on 23.2.1942 (according to the goblet).

(DOB: 11.10.15).
27.09.39 Oblt., trf from RLM pool to 1./Kü.Fl.Gr. 306.
01.04.42 promo to Hptm.
00.42 Hptm., Staka 1./KGr. 806 (to 14.05.42).
14.05.42 MIA – in Ju 88 shot down over the sea by Spitfires after raiding Luqa/Malta.

I found another snippet about Emil Braun:

02.03.42 Oblt., Staka of an unstated unit, awarded the Ehrenpokal.

This is according to the Schiebert book.

On the honor goblet and goblet document is the date 23.2.1942

but its normal the dates between published and actual awarded differs from each other....

Crew:
