Luftwaffe Amiot - I./KG200 or 3. Erg./KG200

Hello Everyone,

I try to gather information on french Bomber Amiot143M during the WW2. it appears that A/C have been utilized by the Luftwaffe as transport/cargo A/C in the KG200.
In fact, on 20 feb. 1944, the I./KG200 was created to supply to the special services the aerial support by introducing various aircraft. Apparently, the 1st group fleet comprised DC3, B17, B24 but also one french seaplane LeO H246, one Bloch160, one LeO451 and 2 AMIOT 143M!

This 2 Bombers were affected to the 3. Erg./KG200 and another one joined the team in april '44.
End of June 1944, these 3 A/C were pased out.

I would like to have more details on these 3 Amiot 143M during the services in the KG200, especially S/N, photos and utilization during missions. Hence my questions:

Do you have reference of books, magazines, websites or photos dealing with the I./KG200 or 3. Erg./KG200 and maybe dealing directly with the Amiot 143?

Thanking you in advance
Best regards

Jerome

The best history of KG 200 is "Moskau ruft Heeresgruppe Mitte" by Dr. Günther W. Gellermann (Bernard & Graefe Verlag).

The best in English is "KG 200" by Geoffrey J. Thomas (Hikoki)

Also worth reading for the personal experiences is "KG 200" by Peter W. Stahl (available in both English and German)

Hello,

P.W. STAHL's book was translated in french under the title : "Commandos secrets - La vérité sur KG 200", Editions Albin Michel, 1983, ISBN2-226-01858-1.
Bonne journée.

Re: Luftwaffe Amiot - I./KG200 or 3. Erg./KG200

Hello

Please note that I am convinced that no Amiot 143M were utilized by the KG200 but Amiot 354/356 in the I/KG200 unit whereas the Amiot 354 n°75 ex Air france reg.F-BAGS would be utilized as transport A/C in the Luftflotte 3!
Nothing reported since on the 3. Erg./KG200...

German Archives mention only the type "Amiot" altough they detail LeO45. Hence the confusion... and interpretation!
Do you have info re Luftflotte 3 about this?
Regards

Jerome
