Immelman III paint scheme question
I have a question about the Air Force One ;) FW-200 26-00, Hitler's personal air taxi. On some photos it is all one color. On other photos, the vertical rudder of the tail is light color /must be yellow/. Can you please put time frame to that, when was it dark and when was it yellow? Both paint schemes are while it carries its last board designation, 26+00. Thank you very much!

Re: Immelman III paint scheme question
As I could see on some images this machine have two colors at the top side, 70 and 71 possibly. This is airplane register KE+IX, not sure about your machine.

Thanks for your response! I am interested about the vertical rudder. On one photo the whole tail is one color, dark. On another, the vertical rudder is light color, probably yellow? Both paint schemes are from the last period of this FW-200, when it had already received its final registration 26+00

Re: Immelman III paint scheme question
This is not matter- simply this is over painted due to the technical order or so on. Both images are good, just show airplane in another time.

Re: Immelman III paint scheme question
Yes, exactly, it is the same aircraft, in two different times /inside the time frame of 194? to July 1944, in which it carried its last designation/. This is what I am trying to find out, which was first, the dark rudder or the yellow rudder?
And another thing, when was the registration changed to 26+00? BTW it's not The Boss going out of the plane, it's the Bulgarian king. |
