A new Bf109K-4 picture?

Hi Gents,

Hei,

When I look at the pilot I get the impression that this a very good made model. I might be wrong but I have the feeling something is wrong with the photo.

Regards,

Mathieu.

Well, how the pilot or what looks to be a body in the cockpit is in so clean state if the plane is in very bad condition. Even some pieces where took by souvenir hunters. The cockpit looks as hit by a direct impact in the rear glazing... Strange image but the plane looks real to me...

I understand your disquiet. The photo gives me the impression of an extremely well-constructed diorama of a Bf 109K-4 wreck. The photo seems somewhat surrealistic. To my eyes, the ground upon which the aircraft sits and the background seem unnatural and "modelled".

On an unrelated topic, I think I am seeing tailwheel doors on this Bf 109. Am I seeing the airplane correctly?

Kenneth

Since it is a Bf109K, you should be seeing tailwheel doors on the sucker.
All the best,
George

I apologize, I didn't phrase my query well. I know the Bf 109K was the only Bf 109 version to have fully retractable tailwheel with doors. I think I see the tailwheel doors in the photo, but I wasn't sure, so I was asking if I was seeing the depicted airplane correctly. In other words, I wanted to make sure my vision was still decent! :p
