Need WW II map of Cherbourg Harbor
 

Dear Fellow Researchers,

Part of the history of the Me 262 is tied up with the shipment back to the U.S. of captured Me 262's and other aircraft aboard the H.M.S. Reaper. The Reaper had docked at Cherbourg to pick up these aircraft. Recently, I researched at NARA II to get a feel for the layout of Cherbourg Harbor and do believe I know where the ship actually docked. The harbor contained a number of piers/breakwaters and numerous fortifications. Some of the NARA II photos give names to various harbor features, but I am not exactly sure where they actually were located.

Thus, if someone out there has a map of the harbor showing where the various prominent features were and their names, I'd very much appreciate hearing from you. I can be reached at egerrt@dmv.com.
