Re: Looking for a Photo JG77/JG300 OFFICER
Hi Andy
This is what I know. On 12th April 1940 he force-lnded his Bf109 at Mandal, Norway and was captured, but released five days later. He was killed when he crashed a Fi156 at Funkerth on 26th November 1943 during a transit flight. Abschusse six- 12th Apr 1940 FW 6./JG 77 Hampden SW Kristiansand 1400hrs Nr 1 24th Jun 1940 Fw 6./JG 77 Blenheim W Stavanger 1400hrs Nr 2 27th Jun 1941 Ofw 6./JG 77 DB-3 1140hrs Nr 3 30th Jul 1943 Oblt II./Kdo.Herr Lancaster Hamburg 0055hrs 5000 metres o.z-a.s.m Nr 4 30th Jul 1943 Oblt II./Kdo.Herr Lancaster Hambyrg 0105hrs 4000 metres o.z-a.s.m Nr 5 28th Aug 1943 Oblt 5./JG 300 viermot Nuermberg 0215hrs 4800 metres a.s.m Nr 6 Possibly had some un-confirmed further claims in 1943, as you can see all his night kills were questionable before confirmation.....trouble being witnesses....as with all wildsau pilots!
