Help wanted with a look-up at NARA please?
 

Hi all

I don't know if any US readers might be willing to help, but I've been having trouble over some records apparently held at NARA, Maryland, and wonder if someone might have a bit of spare time on a visit there to try and check something out for me?

The NARA website / catalogue seems particularly clunky to use, and the e-mails I've sent to a couple of the expert researchers listed on the site seem to disappear into the ether too.

Any help very much appreciated, failing which I need a large wall to bang my head on.

So if anyone is in, or is planning to be in, the locality of NARA and might be able to help, if you could e-mail me on: ian DOT hunt AT btinternet DOT com (no gaps and doing the usual with the DOTs and AT) I can explain my problem and give the details of what I'm hoping to find.
