JU88's down over Lincoln
Hello,
This is my first post here, but I'm told that some of you may be able to help! I have been researching an incident that took place over Lincolnshire on on 3rd July 1942. 4 Spitfires from 303 squadron intercepted and shot down 2 JU88's. I'm trying to find out the markings of those JU88's. Ju 88A-4 W.Nr. 140016 M2+BK from the 2./KüFlGr 106 which reportedly crashed at 20.20; Fw. H. Majer, Ogefr. H. Wyborny Uffz. K. Schatzschneider, Uffz. T. Frank - All killed Ju 88A-4 W.Nr. 140017 M2+KK also from the 2./KüFlGr 106 which is reported as crash-landed 20.35; Hptm. H. Bergemann, Ogefr. B. Müller, Uffz. E. Fahning, Uffz. J. Fickenwirth - All PoW Done anyone have any pictures or color profiles of those two aircraft, or similar aircraft that would carry the same markings? I hope that you can help! Kind regards Mark |

Re: JU88's down over Lincoln
What you ask for exactly maybe is hard to find. But similar aircraft with likely similar markings, then look at Ju 88 A-4´s M2+EH, M2+DH, 2084 S4+OH that are pictured (in spring 1942) in John Weal "Ju 88 Kampfgeschwader on the Western Front" (Osprey Combat Aircraft 17) P.2/3, again P.69 and some profiles of simlar markings P.46. Ju 88 A-4 M2+AK is pictured on page 65. I think these are fairly typical and be of use modelling-wise.
