Werner Streib

I have a photograph of Werner Streib as a Hauptmann, with the Knight's Cross, taken during a tea party at Arnhem in Holland. In the picture his left hand/arm is bandaged. I know that he was wounded during an aerial encounter with a bomber sometime during 1941/42. Does anyone have the exact date of this encounter or access to the Luftwaffe losses that may reveal this date, location etc. Many thanks in anticipation.

Re: Werner Streib

It is known that Streib's Bordfunker, Oblt. Josef Schauster was wounded in Luftkampf in the night of 14/15.3.1941. They landed in Eindhoven and Schauster was taken to hospital in 's Hertogenbosch. I am sure Marcel H. knows more, so did you post on the NJ-Forum? Maybe Streib was slightly injured too.

Re: Werner Streib

In Marcel H's photo collection is a picture were Streib is visiting Schauster in hospital after the incident at 14/15.3.1941. At that picture Streib's left arm can be seen for 80%. He has his left hand in his pocket. At this picture it cannot be seen that Streib was also wounded during this incident.
