Luftwaffe Flight Paths from Maleme to Athens 1941
 

Found a reference in a Commonwealth vessel's report to say that they were west of Souda Bay (possibly near Kastelli of perhaps even further) and that they were spotted because they were under the flight path from Maleme to Athens. Is this a possibility so far west or am I misreading maps? Any advice assistance please.
