Can you take a look at these debriefing reports?

Hi, how are you doing?

I've been looking through some debriefing reports from one specific flight crew from the 161sq. flying in a Hudson in 1944-45 out of tempsford. Came across this one and the copy is soo bad that I cannot read it. Maybe some of you can take a look and decifer it?

Thx.

Lars.

Re: Can you take a look at these debriefing reports?

I'll try a starter:
161 Squadron 9/10 April Station 46
Hudson; P/O (or F/O) Ferris carrying 3 personnel (presume in addition to crew) and 8 packages to a "pinpoint" location in France; Reception arrangements C/C??? or C/L (Coloured Lights??) which was completed.
Took Off at 2140; Time at target 0010 to 0053, Landing 0340
The pinpoint was found, using Dead Reckoning (unclear) from Issendun?? (unclear)
next line/word (unclear)
Dropping point was on pinpoint 2 runs
0030 from 900 feet above ground on course 090 at Indicated Air Speed of 105 mph; second? drop at 0050 same course headings etc
I can't read if there is any comment on description of target pinpoint, (it could be from the reverse of the page).
Recommended for future use has been underlined
Good reception Committee? (unclear)
Nothing else was dropped
I can't clearly read the route. First line seems to be a *waypoint"? "Slow Hill" with position
Second line the second word looks like "Loire" and "Issendun" target? seen? Return?
the third line seems to be "Selsey Bill" (which might be the first line start words)
Hope some of that is right, but someone with a microscope might be along soon!!

Re: Can you take a look at these debriefing reports?

Here's the 2nd page

Report by Despatcher OK
Enemy opposition (state place, height and time)
Vire 0121 (?) 5,000’
Meteorological conditions Very good in target area

Captain’s personal report. DR from Issoudun to target pinpoint. Reception on when A/C (note – ORB says reception on when aircraft arrived) Very (unable to read word) and correct letter. 4 runs made over pinpoint but package caught on the tail wheel. A/c made many circuits trying to detach it over target area. Package did not drop until A/c south of Loire. Agents jumped when instructed no trouble. (word unreadable) making 4 runs. Despatcher couldn’t (word unreadable) get them all out. 1st run agents and parcel.

The note on the left reads….. The fouling of the tail wheel by the ‘chute is being investigated.
