Anyone got details of crashes at Soesterberg on 3 August 1942?

Hi,
I find 2 Do 217 E-4 of II./KG 40 #4278 belly landing due enemy fire,
#5370 damage of the landing gear, 35 and 10% of damage, no personell loss.
no codes or names given. (Source GQM).

Thanks, Khorat. I have this information already from 'thenelm' elsewhere on this forum. I am now hoping for crew and operations' details in respect of these two incidents. I'm sorry - I should have been more specific in my question.

I have Wk Nr 4278 due to fighters and 5370 on a non-combat mission. Claims for Do 217s are damaged off Norfolk Coast 1310-ish (68 Sqn), 30 miles east of Flamborough Head 1255 hrs(406 Sqn), off Yorkshire Coast 1357 hrs (409 Sqn) & Wellingborough (destroyed). We know the identity of the Wellingborough crash, a 9/KG 2 ac suffered Flak damage near Leicester (but you will know this). Nothing to link a particular unit to Middlesborough

These two our also in my database but sofar no additional info on the crews? What is the reason for yr interest in these two Soesterberg crashes Bill?

Wybe, Middlesbrough railway station was bombed by a low-flying single Do217 shortly after 1.00pm on 3 August 1942. The pilot flew through the town's balloon cordon to reach his target - a feat that brought grudging admiration from a number of those who witnessed it. I have been researching the raid for a number of years and have interviewed countless eye-witnesses. If I knew who was responsible, I think that the tale would be complete. I have narrowed the field down to KG2 or II/KG40. I am increasingly inclined towards KG40 but my mind is still open. Over the years I have posted related questions on this Forum (probably much to the boredom of those who have been members as long as I have) - but you know what it is like when one needs to find that last piece of a puzzle. As Alan Price once sang: Hope springs eternal.. As Chris points out, the search goes on

Thanks for your explaniation Bill. I fear that finding the crew will be rather difficult. Especially the ones where there are no WIA/KIA are mostly a real pain.
