Re: after code for fairey battle 226Sq L5428
Hi Jerry,
No joy with aircraft letter when with No.226 Sqn. Regarding the loss when with No.142 Sqn the Movement Serial Index was AK523 (pointless I know!) The Form E for the aircraft reads A Form "E" Serial No 48 B 14/10 C A.K.523 D CC.37 E 142 SQDN Battle 1 F Nil G Nil H 4 x 250 2 x 25 Incendiary J Nil K None from enemy action but see M L Nil M AK523 unable to locate target owing to adverse weather: A/C Crashed at Bampton after crew had abandoned. Crew unhurt. N Nil P 0555 Regards Ross |

Hi Ross,
Thanks for looking, It's probably one of the ones I will never solve, but I make a point at the start of each new year, to look at those long term problem ones I have. cheers Jerry |
