Walter Barte DKiG?

I was wondering if any body can confirm if the Night fighter ace Walter Barte was actually awarded the DKiG. It seems the the offically list fizzles out in September 1944 after which we are given block dates, a block date of 1st October 1944 has been suggested. Does anybody know or knew the man? or have a photo showing it. His record of 'kills' certainly warranted it, plus he was a Major and Gruppenkommandeur. The offical list must also be not quite complete as Hermann Graf is omitted, and photographic evidence suggests he received it in April 1942.

Scherzer, Veit. Die Träger des Deutschen Kreuzes in Gold der Luftwaffe 1941-1945 (Bayreuth, 1992)

He was on 01.10.44 as Hptm., awarded DKG, Kommandeur of an unspecified Nachtjagdgeschwader.

DGS
