Nachtschlachtkommando 8
Dear Sirs,
I´m looking for unknow unit Nachtschlachtkommando 8. Two members of this unit StGefr. Werner Adam Fw. Erich Otto Wanner were buried in Kriegsgraberstatte in Marianske Lazne after crash of their aircraft sometime in April 1945. Note: close, on airfield Eger / Cheb trained at this time Nachtschlachtstaffel 8 der ROA (Vlasov Army) with Ju 87 mayby they are two different units, mayby the same, who can help ?? |
Re: Nachtschlachtkommando 8
NSKdo. 8 was at Berlin-Gatow on 5 April 1945 and was a Bü 181 unit.
On 11 April, 8. Panzerjagdstaffel was at Magdeburg-Süd with 12 Bu 181 I suspect that this was the same unit, given two different names but my guess could be wrong. |
Re: Nachtschlachtkommando 8
Thanks,
I have old article of Jet+Prob 6/98 Das letzte Aufgebot! about Panzerjagdstaffel´s, but there nothing for my case. If it is really 8.Panzerjagdstaffel I have other case from local police dokument: on 14th April 1945 crashed Bu 181 of "Nachtschlacht und Panzervernichtungstrupp Straubing", only one crewmember Uffz Eifel unhurt. Please, do you have any detailed info about these units? |
Re: Nachtschlachtkommando 8
Late on 18 April 1945, it was reported that 10. Panzer Jagd Staffel had arrived at Straubing. It was due to transfer immediately to Munsteuer, Austria under Luftflotte 4.
11. Pz.JSt. was at Straubing at the time time to be disbanded and used to build up the 10. Staffel. |
