Streib/Lingen

Good Evening,

When Werner Streib was Kdre. of NJG 1 his bordfunker was Uffz. Lingen.
Does someone know his first name. What happened to him when Streib became Inspekteur der Nachtjäger? Did he teamed up with another pilot of the unit? Tia and kind regards.

Dirk

Re: Streib/Lingen

Hello,

Uffz. Theo Lingen.

By the way, Streib has had more Bordfunker than Lingen: Uffz. Baukenroth, Uffz. Wissmann, Oblt. Schauster, Fw. Ruscher, Uffz. Fischer, Fw. Bundrock

Best wishes, Marcel Hogenhuis

Hello,

was that Theo Lingen identical with the famous German movie actor and comedian Theo Lingen?

Hello

Though the name is the same, if the actor/comedian Theo Lingen was also Streib's Bordfunker, he had no opportunity to sleep at all because he made several films in WW-2 according to Wikipedia and Google...

Streibs Bordfunker after 12th June 1943 was Fw. (later Ofw.) Kurt Bundrock whose wartime memories were published in Der Landser Grossband 630, "Kampf am nächtlichen Himmel. Einsatzerlebnisse eines Ritterkreuzträgers der Nachtjagd" (Rastatt 1984, Erich Pabel Verlag)

Bye, Marcel
