Le Quesnoy, France, in World War Two

Can anyone help me please with information on the French walled town of Le Quesnoy, and what happned to the town in the Second World War?

- Were Allied units posted there in 1939-40 during the Phoney War?
- Was there a battle there at all during the Battle of France in 1940?
- What day did the German forces occupy the town?
- Was there force involved in the occupation by the Germans?
- Did anything happen regarding the war effort during the time of occupation such as Resistance activities, or downed Allied airmen in the region, etc?
- When was the town liberated by the Allies? And which unit liberated the town?

Any information would be much appreciated, thanks.
