Need a good sourse book on Me210A 1941
Greetings gents!
Beside a Petrick's book Waffen-Arsenal Special 43 "Zerstorer Me210 Entwicklung und Einsatz", (wich covers Erpr.Staffel 210 and SKG210 very briefly), are there ANY good books on the subject? I am interested in gaining info about ErprobungsStaffel 210 during 1941, and Me210A-1 in SKG210 in autumn-winter 1941. Thanks in advance, |

Do not know about what is in the books but as far as I remember there is some information on the unit on one of NARA microfilms (Fliegerhorst-Kdtr. Tours), also there was an ebay auction some time ago with interesting photographs of operational early (short fuselage) Me 210s.

I believe John Vasco's "Bombsights Over England" would at least cover the beginning of that. He also did another book, "sting of the Luftwaffe" that might help as well (though this covers action in Russia.)

Quote:
'Bombsights' only covers Erprobungsgruppe 210. 'Sting' has some losses recorded for the 'Erprobungstaffel 210' which was not affiliated in any way to SKG 210. SKG 210 crews were withdrawn from the Russian front to do the flight testing on the Me 210s, but that is as far as the link goes. |
